Natural Dye Workshop in Peru

Join the Pichinku girls at our workshop in the Sacred Valley of Cusco for an unforgettable experience of culture and color!
Our workshops are intimate experiences for small groups to learn about techniques that have been practiced for thousands of years in Peru. You’ll roll up your sleeves to work hands-on with natural Peruvian fibers, locally collected dye plants and our team of women artisans.
We work with a medium quality wool yarn for our workshops that is suited for teaching/ learning purposes. We offer higher quality yarn (baby alpaca, merino wool or Pima cotton) if desired by the client with two weeks’ notice before the workshop date and at an additional charge (please inquire directly).
Included in 2-hour workshop:
3 skeins of medium quality wool yarn (that participants will dye themselves and keep), materials to learn 3 naturally dyed colors, light snack and coffee/tea
Included in 4-hour workshop:
5 skeins of medium quality wool yarn (that participants will dye themselves and keep), materials to learn 5 naturally dyed colors, light snack and coffee/tea
Included in 8-hour workshop:
8 skeins of medium quality wool yarn (that participants will dye themselves and keep), materials to learn 8 naturally dyed colors, light snack and coffee/tea, afternoon break for lunch and refreshments
Not included:
Transfer to-from Calca, but we will gladly help to arrange transport to/from your accommodations
